Khon Kaen University Delegation Draws Attention in Staff Games

Khon Kaen University sent a 395-member delegation to the 42nd Thailand University Staff Games held from May 27 to June 4 2026 in Nakhon Nayok.

Scale of participation stands out

The size of the Khon Kaen University group placed it among the larger contingents at the multi-sport event for university staff. Other institutions fielded squads in the same competition but none matched the reported headcount from Khon Kaen. The event covered standard university-level disciplines and ran for nine days at venues in Nakhon Nayok province.

Bangkok-based universities also recorded results in separate league fixtures earlier in the cycle. Bangkok University lost 2-1 to Kasem Bundit University FC in a Thailand University League match in September 2025. College of Asian Scholars and North Bangkok University FC played to a 1-1 draw on June 12 2025.

Rivalry match provides historical benchmark

The 75th Traditional Football Match between Thammasat University and Chulalongkorn University took place on February 15 2025 at Supachalasai Stadium. Thammasat held a 24-18 win advantage in the series that began in 1934. The fixture remains the longest-running university contest in the capital.

School-level programmes tied to Bangkok colleges produced results in the DPE-Daily News Cup 2026 U18 Category A tournament. Bangkok Christian College defeated Chaloem Phrakiat Samut Sakhon 3-0 in late January 2026 to reach six points while Assumption Thonburi also secured victories in the same competition.

King's College International School Bangkok hosted U15 U18 and U11 matches against St Andrews and Shrewsbury International School in February 2026. Those fixtures formed part of the regular inter-school calendar that feeds into university pathways.
